One Bit of Housekeeping You Should Know About…

Please note that in August and again in September this site was hacked due to a vulnerability on the blogging platform on which this site runs. This vulnerability has been fixed and this site was taken down and completely reinstalled. Google reported this site as having been infected as recently as this past weekend but they were apparently using a cached version of the site that was cached just before we cleaned and reinstalled everything.

This kind of thing is frustrating beyond belief. Obviously, I hope this does not happen again.

Please — if you ever get a warning when you visit this site (from Google, Firefox, etc.), send an email to admin at brooktroutfishingguide.com alerting me and I will investigate. Hopefully we’ve resolved this and hopefully this popular blogging platform is now secure enough to let us continue operating.
